Maria has held a keen interest in horology from a young age. Clock repair is the family business. Meaning she grew up watching both of her parents as they worked. Later she would go on to get her first diploma in horology in Belgrade. After arriving in the UK, she received full training at the British Horological Institute. Finally earning her diploma in April 1997. She first worked in other clock and watch companies in Hertfordshire and Essex.
Maria would then go on to open Watch Your Clock. Following in her parents’ footsteps, she wanted to run her own business. Along with helping customers with reasonable prices and quality assurance.
Although Maria is the owner, and the only female horologist shop owner in Southend, she has a great team behind her. This includes watch repair specialists. So you know you are getting a good estimate. Furthermore, we have experts in restoration and conservation of fine antique wooden cases.
